Why do crypto transactions need network gas?
Blockchains charge a network fee to process transactions. This fee goes to the network’s miners or validators, not to Bitlok. The coin used for this fee is normally the network’s native coin.
Native coins pay the network
Bitcoin transactions require BTC for miner fees. BNB Smart Chain uses BNB, Ethereum uses ETH, TRON uses TRX or network resources, and Solana uses SOL for transaction fees.
Holding only a token such as USDT does not normally pay the network fee. Keep a small amount of the relevant native coin in the wallet before sending tokens or signing swaps.
Why fees change
Fee levels depend on network demand and the complexity of the transaction. Token approvals and cross-chain swaps can involve more than one transaction, so their total network cost can be higher than a simple transfer.
The wallet can estimate fees, but the final fee is determined by the blockchain at processing time.
Quick safety checklist
- Keep BTC for Bitcoin sends.
- Keep BNB or ETH for BSC and Ethereum actions.
- Keep TRX or sufficient TRON resources for TRON actions.
- Keep SOL for Solana and SPL-token actions.
- Review the fee estimate before confirming.
